AI speaker GiGa Genie was designed in collaboration with KT. We reinterpreted the overall design through the humanistic approach to the sensitivity to artificial intelligence (AI). When considering the set-top box, the main function of the IPTV, our goal was to break away from the existing box-shaped image by instead attempting a humanistic approach with a future-oriented image symbolizing AI. Based on this, we proposed a new design language for stand-type speakers. The product has remained faithful to usability and functionality through the collaboration with KT and UX, but we were able to transform it into an AI set-top box speaker with a new and differentiated image by taking a visually innovative direction. This resulted in a target sales quantity that was three times higher than what was seen in 2016.

KT와의 협업을 통해 AI Speaker 'GIGAGENIE'를 디자인하였다. 우리는 인공지능(AI)에 대한 감성을 인문학적 접근을 통해 전반적인 디자인을 재해석하였다. IPTV를 위한 Settop box가 주 메인기능인 점을 고려하여 기존의 박스 형상의 이미지를 탈피하고 AI를 상징하는 미래지향적인 이미지와 더불어 인문학적인 접근을 통해 스탠드 타입의 새로운 Design Language를 제시하였다. 또한 KT와 UX 관련 협업을 통해 사용성과 기능에 충실하지만 시각적으로도 혁신적인 방향을 제안함으로서 기존과는 차별화된 새로운 이미지의 AI Settop Box Speaker로 탈바꿈하였다. 이는 2016년 목표판매수량을 넘어 3배 높은 판매수치를 기록하였다.
