The overhead console design was conducted in collaboration with Hyundai Motors. The entire design process was a collective effort, from design PM to design follow-up. The realization of the serration of the transparent material of the lighting part was the main issue in regards to the overall design. The optimal serration design was proposed through many working mock-ups. The main issue was to exclude the inexpensive feeling of the existing overhead console design as much as possible. This feeling was due to the depth of which the transparent material appeared to melt into the design even without any lighting. The design has currently been applied to the Hyundai Hydrogen Vehicle Nexo.
Hyundai Motors와 협업을 통해 Overhead console design을 진행하였다. 팀 작업으로 진행했으며, 디자인 PM으로 디자인에 대한 팔로우업까지 현대 자동차와 협업을 통하여 제품을 완성하였다. 전체적인 디자인에 있어 라이팅 부 투명소재의 세레이션 구현이 주요 이슈였으며, 많은 워킹 목업을 통해 최적의 세레이션 디자인을 제안하였다. 라이팅이 점등 되어있지 않을 때에도 투명소재의 깊이감이 그대로 디자인에 녹여져 기존의 오버헤드 콘솔 디자인처럼 저렴한 느낌을 최대한 배제시키는 작업이 주요 이슈였다. 현재 현대 수소 자동차 ' NEXO ' 에 적용되었다.
